My name is Jo Lynn Isaacson and I have been admitted to practice law in the State of Minnesota since October of 1987.
I received my Juris Doctor or law degree from the University of Minnesota in May of 1987. Previous to that I received my Bachelor of Arts undergraduate degree from the University of Minnesota in 1984 and was admitted as a member of Phi Beta Kappa. In addition, I have completed the necessary mediation skills training to be a Rule 114 Neutral or family law mediator. I have been recognized as a Rising Star in Minnesota Law & Politics magazine in 2000 and 2001.
I am a member of both the Minnesota State Bar Association and the Anoka County Bar Association.
From 1987 to 1995 I worked as an associate attorney with the law firm of Skogerboe & Skogerboe, Chtd., in the Plymouth and Blaine, MN areas. In January of 1996 I joined my practice with Jennifer Wellner and we formed Wellner & Isaacson, PLLP in Circle Pines, Anoka County, Minnesota.
The primary area of law in which I practice is family law, including dissolutions of marriage, orders for protection, paternity matters, child support hearings and custody cases. Additional areas in which I practice are family law mediation, criminal defense, estate planning, bankruptcy and small business law. I handle cases throughout the entire Twin Cities metropolitan area but the majority of my practice is located in Anoka County, Minnesota.
